▓▓ A LIVELY CITY AT A GLANCE ▓▓
Transforming posters into discoverable events
Our Mission
Local Pulse helps people feel their city is alive and waiting for them. We transform scattered event posters into a centralized, discoverable platform that makes cities feel welcoming, vibrant, and connected.
The Story Behind Local Pulse
Picture this: you're biking through your city on a Friday evening, passing cafes and community boards plastered with colorful posters. Jazz nights, art exhibitions, poetry readings, community gatherings—each one promising connection and discovery. But here's the problem: these gems are scattered across dozens of platforms, buried in social media feeds, or simply invisible to anyone not walking past that specific cafe.
Local Pulse was born from this frustration. As people who moved between cities, constantly building new connections, we realized that the most interesting events were right there on the walls; but there was no way to discover them digitally. The solution? Turn posters into discoverable events. No complex profiles, no multiple platform management, no fragmentation. Just take a picture of a poster, and suddenly the whole city becomes searchable.
Our vision is simple: eliminate the fragmentation in event discovery. Help event organizers reach audiences effortlessly, and help event seekers discover what's happening around them. Because every evening should feel like the city is inviting you out.

Swadhin Nanda
Swadhin Nanda is the founder of Local Pulse, driven by a personal journey of connection and community building. Born and raised in India, he moved to the Netherlands at 21 and has since relocated multiple times within the country, constantly creating new friendships and connections.
The inspiration for Local Pulse came from noticing the abundance of event posters throughout cities - posters filled with cool and interesting events that lacked a central aggregation point. As someone who has experienced the challenges of moving between cities and making new connections, Swadhin recognized the power of events in helping people feel connected to their community.
His philosophy centers on creating frictionless experiences for event organizers while building welcoming spaces for event seekers. He believes in the power of community to combat loneliness and create vibrant, culturally rich cities where people know each other and feel connected.
Swadhin's values emphasize helpfulness, community harmony, and deriving satisfaction from building something that makes people happy and connected. He is committed to creating a platform that serves the community without exploiting user attention or data.
